Jobcenter support has changed: the main rules
The benefit previously known as Bürgergeld is now called Grundsicherungsgeld. The reform places more emphasis on moving into work quickly and meeting obligations agreed with Jobcenter.

- Taking up work and cooperating with agreed measures take priority.
- Rules on sanctions, assets and the protection period have changed.
